In fact, i have moved my blog to wordpress. I will be starting my second final ...Great article. I will be starting my second final year exam the coming week.Sadly my overal attendance for the 2 yrs is below 10%. And I was not doing anything beneficial outside college. I will tell myself or fellow students excuses such as the lectures are boring or I get lost in daydreaming during class. Even though these excuses have some truth in them, it was largely due to my unhealthy routine habits or lifestyle. I wasted time on addictions and distractions like mindlessly using the internet, social media, music, etc. I would offen watch popular music or new music this week on youtube. Today after watching how shaytaan uses music and musicians to fuel his evil tactics in misguiding the people, I decided to quit music for good in sha Allah. The other distraction used to be Tv where I would listen to music, watch news ,and movies for hours. Thankfully there is no TV in my new home now. I decided to only watch 1-3 movies a month and only in theatre instead of Tv. When I was under 16 years, I used to watch only action or sci-fi movies and even though they are some sins in it, I used to not affect my productivity and spirituality. I was one of the top students, my tajweed was good(I even called for prayer in a big mosque), I used to pray at least 4x in the mosque unlike now and I was very active, friendly and playful. So i think it is the type of movies that matters. Love or comedy movies are often filled with indecency and immorality. I will even decide to stop watching action, adventure or sci-fi movies if there is an islamic alternative film industry to hollywood and bollywood. I enjoy watching good films. And science even says that positive films make one creative and happy. My other distraction is poor sleeping habits like being awake at night and sleeping in the morning instead of going to class.
These are big challenges that I need to overcome if I really want to be good student and diligent Muslim.
Your tips are beneficial. And in sha Allah I will do my best to follow them. I look forward to more of your articles on different topics or reflections.Said Hasannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8911706448461409112.post-23635720385951146352016-03-30T09:06:32.628-07:002016-03-30T09:06:32.628-07:00JazakAllah khayr for the kind words. Guest blog for websites, ie. ProductiveMuslim, IoU blog or Muslim Matters, etc.
2. Change your blog to wordpress or squarespace like many of top blogs.
3.Research some ways to improve your blog whether it means taking a free blogging course at Coursera or Udemy or simply reading blogging materials.
4. Change your blogs name to a catchy name encase you go for squarespace or wordpress.
These are just my suggestions. I am not a blogger. Neither am I a writer. May English is just average if not poor( as you saw the grammer mistakes I made in a previous comment).
But I am a regular reader of websites and blogs for nearly a decade especially business, productivity, islamic, news and personal blogs.
These are my thoughts if you need to see some improvements or changes to your blog.
Otherwise, you are doing fine as a personal blogger.
As I can see, you are like many other bloggers who are not interested in making money out of their blog or getting a high number of regular visiters. You are probably interested in sharing your reflections and ideas in a humble way. And that's fine. Your posts will perhaps have a positive impact on someone or some people though you may not be aware because many don't comment on every article they enjoy. I think I commented just 6% or below of the many articles or videos I watched since I discovered the internet. And I know you are aware of the readers behaviour. Just a reminder.
I wish you a good luck in your blogging adventure.
Said Hasannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8911706448461409112.post-1088670672595303482016-03-24T10:09:50.323-07:002016-03-24T10:09:50.323-07:00Jazakallah khair for your comment! I will definitely keep you in my duas as well.

Thank you for sharing your struggles with me. I completely understand what you are going through. But please don't be too hard on yourself. The fact that you are currently in college is a great accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself. I know many people who dropped out of college and never went back.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. Always continue to put your trust in Allah and try your best. I am currently an economic student. The exam is just around the corner and I have not prepared yet. I procrastinate a lot in my life. I should have masters by name or suucceeded in business that I yet to start. All you have being doing from chollege to college course to course. Dropped-out and then went back. Purposeless. At least you should thank Allah that you have purpose and meaning in your life. Physical illness is not that big compared to a life filled with lack of purpose and success. And I read dozens of procrastination-related articles on the internet. Even withought searching from google, my eyes fall on them in my fav sites before I read other new articles. Just this week I read two articles about beating procrastination on todoist blog and entrepreneur. But I took no action. Or I take the first steps and I am back to square one. I will read your post on student success at the top of your blog. I hope this time will be different. Pray for me please in one of the accepted dua times that Allah give me the energy and strengh to do good and excel in life. Similarly I will in sha Allah remember you in my dua that Allah heal you, bless you with more success and happiness.
